In the spring of 1985, the first scholarship committee was formed by the auxiliary to benefit a son or daughter of a fireman, auxiliary, or squad member as outlined by the guidelines drawn up. These scholarships of $1000 ($500 from the fire department and $500 from the auxiliary) each were awarded to Donna Davison, daughter of Bob and Sue Davison, and Kristine Green, daughter of Jerry and Joan Green.
