05-03-2015 // Reported Fire at BOCES
At approximately 1420 hours, Moyers Corners, Liverpool, and Mattydale FD were alerted to a possible fire at BOCES on Crown Road in the Station 2 response area. Initial reports indicated smoke was coming from a restroom ceiling. Liverpool Car 2 [DC Ormsby] arrived first and investigated. MCFD Car 3 [DC Race] took the command while Car 2 [DC Zaferakis] handled the safety officer position. Car 4 [DC Wisely] assisted command. Engine 41 [Lt. Whitmore] and Engine 31 [Lt. Viel] secured a water supply and attacked the fire in a restroom. Also assisting on the scene was MCFD Rescue 4, Liverpool Engine 2 , and Liverpool Engine 3. MCFD Ladder 1 staged on the scene. Units were cleared within 40 minutes. The Onondaga County Fire Investigative Unit and Onondaga County Sheriffs Office are handling the investigation.
