September 11th, 2016
Town of Clay, NY

On this very special day three years ago, MCFD firefighter Bryan Skipworth ran from Station 1 to Station 3 holding a U.S. flag and carrying a "rucksack". He first made this 7 mile run in 2011, but had to "skip" 2012 as he was deployed in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army. Bryan intended on making this an annual tradition to honor all of those who were killed on 9/11, as well as the men and women serving our Armed Forces and emergency service community.

This year, Station 4 firefighter Bob Dreitlein Jr. did a modified "Skip" by running from Station 1 to Station 2. This 4.5 mile run honors all Americans who perished on 9/11/01. Nice work JR! The tradition continues. Never Forget.
