11-29-2016// Structure Fire // Cotswold Court
At approximately 2151 hours, the volunteers of Moyers Corners were alerted to a structure fire on Cotswold Court in the Madison Village community, Station 1 response area. The Monday evening duty crew at Station 1 was out the door within a minute of dispatch. Car 1 [Chief Crispin] arrived with smoke showing and took the interior operations. Battalion 2 [Chief Hoosock] established the command and Car 2 [Chief Zaferakis] handled the safety officer position. Engine 11 [Lt. Stachurski] brought in the closest hydrant and made an interior attack. Engine 41 [Capt. McGowan] pumped Engine 11's hydrant and stretched a second line. Rescue 4 [FF Goodson] assisted with overhaul and search and rescue. Ladder 1 [Capt. Schweitzer] also assisted with overhaul. Rescue 3 [Capt. Montague] covered the Rapid Intervention Team. Engine 21 [Capt. Normanly] provided additional manpower while Engine 31 and Engine 22 staged. The fire was extinguished within 15 minutes. The Onondaga County Fire Investigation Unit, Nova Ambulance, New York State Police, Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, and the Red Cross provided additional assistance on the scene.
