At 5:15pm, the volunteers of Moyers Corners were alerted to a residential fire on Meadow River Drive in the Station 2 response area. Initial reports indicated smoke was filling the residence. Units were just clearing a head-on collision on Route 31 when the report of fire went out. Car 1 [Crispin] arrived first and established the command. Car 3 [Race] took the interior operations while Car 2 [S. Zaferakis] took the safety officer assignment. Engine 21 [Sgt. Apples] brought in a hydrant and stretched a line to the second floor. Ladder 1 [Capt. Schweitzer] secured the utilities and laddered the structure. Engine 41 [FF M Zaferakis], Engine 31 [Lt. Wilkinson], Rescue 4 [Lt Balcer], Truck 2 [Lt. Bissett], Rescue 3 [FF Montague] and Liverpool Engine 1 also supported the operations. The squad company from Mattydale was the rapid intervention team. Crews determined the furnace caused the smoke condition throughout the residence. Valentines Day Alarms:
