Four years ago today, MCFD firefighter Bryan Skipworth ran from Station 1 to Station 3 holding a U.S. flag and carrying a "rucksack". He first made this 7 mile run in 2011, but had to "skip" 2012 as he was deployed in Afghanistan with the U.S. Army. Bryan intended on making this an annual tradition to honor all of those who were killed on 9/11, as well as the men and women serving our Armed Forces and emergency service community.

This year, Firefighter Bob Dreitlein Jr. and Lieutenant. Matt Viel did a modified "Skip" by running from Station 1 to Station 2. This 4.5 mile run honors all Americans who perished on 9/11/01. Joining the MCFD runners this year were Erin Power (past MCFD member), Christine Asmus, and Jennifer Dow. Nice work team! The tradition continues. Never Forget.
