11-27-2021 // Signal 99 - Bonstead Road

Around 9:20am Saturday morning, the Onondaga County 911 Center alerted Moyers Corners to a possible structure fire in Station 1's first due area. Car 2 [DC Bailey] arrived minutes after the initial dispatch and struck the Signal 99, indicating a working fire, and established command.

Engine 11 [Lt Curtis] arrived immediately after Car 2 and begun the initial fire attack from the exterior, before transitioning to the interior.

Engine 21 [Lt Hart] arrived second, completed the connection to the hydrant, and deployed a second hose line entering the rear of the structure.

Truck 2 [Capt Rush] arrived as first specialty, began primary search and laddered the structure.

Engine 32 and Engine 41 assisted with fire extinguishment and searching the structure, along with North West, Belgium-Cold Springs, and Phoenix Fire Departments.

Car 5 [Capt Perkins] ran operations with Car 4 [DC Dembowski] having the safety assignment.

While companies were on-scene of the fire, mutual aid companies from Clay, Liverpool, North Syracuse, and an additional Engine from North West stood by at our firehouses.
The Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, New York State Police, and NOVA Ambulance also assisted us on-scene, along with the Onondaga County Fire Investigation Unit and MCFD Fire Police.

The residents are being assisted by the Red Cross, and the cause of the fire is currently under investigation.
