02-21-2023 // Residental Structure Fire - Linda Lane
At approximately 1:45am Tuesday morning, Moyers Corners was alerted by the Onondaga County 911 Center for a reported fire on Linda Lane, in the Station 1 response area.
Battalion 1 [B/C Eldred] arrived shortly after dispatch, and reported heavy fire conditions from an attached garage, and declared a Signal 99 (working structure fire).
Engine 11 [Lt Apples] arrived right behind Car 2 [D/C Bailey] and split their crew, with half initiating fire attack, and half beginning a primary search of the structure for any possible victims. On Truck 2's [Lt Orchard] arrival, they assisted with completing a primary search of the structure, as well as ensuring that the structure was surrounded by ground ladders to assist with the fire attack. Engine 31 [FF Sparkowski] and Engine 41 [Lt Quinn] provided additional manpower to the scene. Car 2 took command of the incident, and Car 4 [D/C Beverly] assumed the Safety Chief.
Clay Fire Department and Phoenix Enterprise Fire Company #1 both provided crews to the scene, as well as a Rapid Intervention Team from North West Fire District. In addition, crews from Cicero Fire Department, North Syracuse Fire Department, Belgium Cold Springs Fire Department, and Liverpool Fire Department provided standby companies at our firehouses.
At this time, the cause of the fire is under investigation, and there are no reported injuries, either civilian or fire service members.
Moyers Corners Fire Police assisted on-scene as well as the Onondaga County Sheriff's Office, the Onondaga County Fire Investigation Unit, and Northern Onondaga Volunteer Ambulance (NOVA).
